Medicare Part B Helps with Mental Health Care

If you are a Medicare user and you are looking to get treatment for a mental health condition you should look in to what your Medicare Part B coverage can provide to you.  This coverage, meant to assist with payments for outpatient procedures can help with many different kinds of mental health care treatment.  Below are a few ways that Medicare Part B can help with your mental health care needs.

Family counseling is covered if the main purpose is to help with your treatment of a mental health condition.  This is not family counseling for some petty issues or something that you want to approach to improve a relationship, this is counseling in reference to your condition.  Medicare Part B can help with this type of service but you will want to contact the medical professionals before setting it up.

Medicare Part B will cover testing to find out if you are getting the services you need and/or if your current treatment is helping you.  Nobody wants to pay for services that are not helping them and Medicare is no different than anyone else.  This testing will be beneficial to you and Medicare.
