- Medicare Part A benefits will cover you for inpatient care in hospitals, be that critical access hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities after a hospital stay or religious nonmedical health care institutions.
- Part A can help you pay for hospice services and home health care services, but Part A does not cover custodial or long-term services. If you are in need of help with these services consult a professional to see if you meet certain requirements.
- If you or your spouse paid Medicare taxes then you will not have to pay for Medicare Part A benefits. If you didn’t pay these taxes then you will be required to pay a monthly premium, usually around $400 per month.
